Master of Science Programs (2-y)



  Program structure for students initially enrolled starting from the 2022-2023 academic year

The program structure of the Master of Science in Data Science and Business Analytics comprises educational activities for a total of 120 credit points and has two tracks:


• Business Analytics
• Data Science

During the first year of studies, in the period 9 - 22 January 2024 students must choose between the two curricula.

Students who wish to change the first year track choice must sit all compulsory exams required for the new track. In this case track compulsory courses previously taken and passed can be recognized as elective courses or as additional courses.

The program structure is valid for the students initially enrolled in the academic years of reference for this section.

(*)  In case of programs abroad an educational activity without correspondence can also be recognized (Subject Group IUS/08), subject to approval by the MSc Program Director.

(**) In case of programs abroad a course without correspondence can also be recognized but it must refer to the Subject Group FIS/02 and be approved by the MSc Program Director.

(***) In case of programs abroad a course without correspondence can also be recognized but it must refer to the Subject Group SECS-S/01 and be approved by the MSc Program Director.

Some highly-motivated and deserving MSc students will be allowed to include up to three PhD courses in their study plan. Of these, they can request recognition of 1 course in place of an MSc elective and 2 course as an additional ones. Some opportunities to study abroad such as Exchange programs lasting one semester programs are offered (see "International Opportunities").
