Please note that as of 11 March 2008, the promotion and coordination of basic research activities in support of teaching and the Faculty will no longer be the responsibility of the Institutes. These activities will from that date become responsibility of the Departments. In the Guide to the University that follows, whenever reference is made to the Institutes please verify the information in the Departments section, under the heading of Research.
