Course Objectives
The course is aimed at understanding: the main characteristics of public institutions; the complexity of decision-making processes in order to reach a balance between different perspectives (political, social, legal and economic); how to apply management tools in public organizations. Teaching methods include lectures and case studies.Course Content Summary

- Criteria for evaluating public organisations’ performance
- Decision making processes in multi-stakeholders contexts
- Characteristics of management tools in public organizations: organisational structures, service management, e-government, accountability and performance measurement, business-government relations
