Course Objectives
The course covers the topics of corporate finance widening the perspective to internationally oriented firms. International trade and monetary systems, global financial markets, institutions and corporate governance, balance of payments and parity conditions, assessment and management of currency, financial and political risk are examined in the first part of the course. Then the course focuses on the access to international equity and debt markets, and their instruments, global cost of capital, direct investments, cross border acquisitions and fiscal issues. Students will enjoy the knowledge of international corporate finance problems and how to cope with them. A crucial part is the discussion of real case studies, often examined with top managers professionally involved in the case.
