Course Objectives

The course aims to provide a coherent framework to integrate the management of technological, market, organizational, and activities change. The course discusses various approaches that contribute to the successful management of innovative activities. The course highlights why and how managing innovation has to ensure systematically the creation of competitive advantages. Long-term company survival is grounded in the capability to continuously create new offerings and new ways to compete.
In addition, the course addresses the topics of operations management, which characterizes the modern industrial as well as service-oriented corporation. Operations management comprises all activities in terms of obtaining input supply, transformation of input to products/services to be marketed, the management of physical and information flows, and dealing with quality management.
