Course Objectives
In this twenty-first century, organizations rely mostly on project-based configurations. This perspective requires the adoption and the application of a broader range of project management capabilities. Thus, the main objective of this course is twofold. On one hand, it analyzes the organizational issues related to project management viewed from different perspectives. In particular, the first part of the course points out the critical aspects of organizational structure. Moreover, adopting both traditional teaching and case study discussions, it analyzes the critical aspects of team management, and it provides important insights concerning leadership behaviours. On the other hand, the second part of the course is focused on the technical aspects of project management. It analyzes the characteristics of project plan development, and it offers a thorough explanation of resource management. Additionally, the second part of the course explores project risk prevention and intervention.
