Introduction to the course:


This course offers a comprehensive treatment of the basic concepts and fundamental principles of statistical estimation and testing. Emphasis is placed on developing an appreciation for enlightened applied statistical analysis.


Course Content :


Topics include: basic data analysis, probability, random variables and probability distributions, discrete distributions, continuous distributions, sampling distributions, estimation, testing including comparing two populations.
The remainder of the course covers the regression model, which is the most widely used statistical tool.
