You can hardly listen to a speech of any top executive that does not stress the key contribution of his company's knowledge base to value creation for shareholders. Still, many are not clear about how to implement knowledge management initiatives. The course aims at providing a framework and strategic tools in order to better address the issues of competing on knowledge creation and innovation. Knowledge creations understood as a process that has to be nurtured and organized in a systematic way. The course will go through all the steps involved in the creation of new products and new markets. The class discussions will use a variety of company examples that succeded in out-innovating their competition and successfully establishing themselves as the dominant firm.

Prove d'esame:
For those students attending classes on a regular basis the final exam will consist of a written examination. Otherwise the exam will consist of an oral examination.
