Course 2024-2025 a.y.

The duration of the course is one semester (2nd semester of 2nd year) (48 hours + general exam).

Class activities follow a themathic learning approach. Each unit revolves around a learning theme providing a springboard for students to develop oral and written linguistic skills, grammar as well as communicative and pragmatic competences.

The course program deals with the following topics:

• Studying and working in Italy
• Describing routine activities
• Ordering food and drinks and expressing tastes and preferences: Italian gastronomic culture
• Quality of life and transport in Italian cities
• Describing a house. Interacting in a hotel
• Family and family relationships
• Story-telling and describing events in the past
• Italian fashion: clothing, colours, size, shops.

L’insegnamento è semestrale (secondo semestre del 2° anno) (48 ore di didattica + prova generale).

Il percorso didattico segue una logica tematica. Le unità del manuale in adozione partono da un tema centrale intorno al quale prendono forma attività linguistiche mirate all’acquisizione delle competenze comunicative, pragmatiche e morfosintattiche, sia scritte che orali.

Il programma del corso tratta i seguenti temi:

• Studiare e lavorare in Italia
• Descrivere una giornata tipo e le proprie abitudini
• Ordinare al ristorante ed esprimere i propri gusti: la cultura gastronomica
• Qualità della vita e mezzi di trasporto
• Descrivere la propria casa. Interagire in un albergo
• La famiglia italiana
• Raccontare una storia e descrivere un evento al passato
• La moda: l’abbigliamento, i colori, le taglie e i negozi

B1 Level - (intermediate) general

Knowledge

Students will acquire solid knowledge of the fundamentals of grammar and syntax and the vocabulary will be wide enough to enable some degree of independence in written and oral expression and comprehension in familiar situations (threshold level).

B1 - Livello intermedio general

Conoscenze

Lo studente avrà acquisito le fondamentali conoscenze grammaticali e sintattiche ed un range lessicale sufficientemente ampio da consentire una moderata autonomia di espressione e comprensione in situazioni familiari (livello “soglia”).

B1 Level - (intermediate) general

Skills

Students will be able to: write simple but well-structured texts, briefly express and explain their opinion, understand other persons as long as they do not speak too fast or unclearly, participate in conversations about familiar topics.

B1 - Livello intermedio general

Capacità di applicare conoscenze

Lo studente saprà produrre un testo semplice ma coerente; saprà descrivere e spiegare brevemente le ragioni delle sue opinioni; sarà in grado di comprendere interlocutori che si esprimono in modo chiaro e sufficientemente lento e di partecipare a conversazioni su argomenti noti.

ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED TO A CLASS AND ATTENDED AT LEAST A 75% OF THE TOTAL COURSE HOURS ARE CONSIDERED ATTENDING STUDENTS

The assessment method (in case of Bocconi internal assessment) consists of an exam focused on listening, reading, writing, and speaking competencies as with international certifications.

The mark is expressed out of 30.

Students can pass the exam through a general exam. In addition, continous assessment will be applied over the semester.

SONO CONSIDERATI STUDENTI FREQUENTANTI TUTTI COLORO CHE HANNO SELEZIONATO UNA CLASSE DI DIDATTICA A FREQUENTINO ALMENO IL 75% DEL MONTEORE DEL CORSO

La valutazione dell’apprendimento (effettuata attraverso l’esame Bocconi) è finalizzata a valutare quattro capacità: listening, reading, writing, speaking, in analogia al modello delle certificazioni internazionali.

La valutazione prevede voto in trentesimi.

L’esame può essere superato attraverso la prova generale a partire dal primo appello successivo al termine della didattica (dicembre). Inoltre è previsto continuous assessment nel semestre di didattica.

ALL THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SELECTED A CLASS OR ATTENDED LESS THAN A 75% OF THE TOTAL COURSE HOURS ARE CONSIDERED  NON ATTENDING STUDENTS

The assessment method (in case of Bocconi internal assessment) consists of an exam focused on listening, reading, writing, and speaking, as with international certifications.

The mark is expressed out of 30.

Students can sit the exam after the end of the teaching period (December).
