I was born in 1973 in Italy. I have a bachelor degree in environmental sciences and a MSc in environmental and natural resources economics (University College London). My PhD is in computational mathematics and operation research ((Università degli Studi di Milano).
In 2008/2009 I was visiting fellow at Princeton Environmental Institute.
During 2014/2015 I was a Fellow at CASBS, Stanford
I have three amazing sons, Pietro Elio and Matteo
I am an associate professor at Bocconi University teaching environmental and climate change economics. I am also Fellow at Fondazione Enrico Mattei and Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change.
I was one of the lead authors of the 5th AR IPCC (2014).
I was PI of a ERC Starting Grant on Innovation and clean technologies (ICARUS).
