2.2.3. Description of the educational path

Given the interconnection of the public and private sphere in the global context, the curriculum combines two main educational blocks, distributed across the two years:

  • one focused on public entities, that is the institutional and political actors who, at the global and European levels, define political objectives to be pursued through specific actions, based on historical events and values, and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • the other centered on private entities operating at the supranational level, which must maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (ranging from consumers to workers) while adhering to a complex array of legal regulations, by implementing appropriate compliance programs and procedures.

These "core" courses are complemented by further courses whose contents apply both to public and private entities. Part of courses are organized in modules.

Moreover, during the second year, students personalize their study plan with:

  • an internship or an elective course;
  • another “law in action” activity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice: moot court, legal clinics or professional skills seminars.

Finally, the study plan includes:

  • EU language: for non-native Italian speakers: Italian; for native Italian speakers: another EU language from those listed in the Student Guide;
  • thesis work.

Study experiences abroad are particularly encouraged throughout the study program. International mobility is indeed a cornerstone that materializes in study and/or work experiences.
