2026-2027 A.Y.

Master of Science and Master of Arts Programs (2-y)

2.14.4. Program Structure for Students initially enrolled starting from the 2025-2026 Academic Year

The program structure of the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence comprises educational activities for a total of 120 credit points.

During the period from 26 August - 1 September 2026 the students enrolled in the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (AI) program are required to choose from one of the following compulsory courses according to background:

  • Mathematical Methods in Computer Science;
  • Analysis of Algorithms and Data Structures

In addition, in the first semester the Program Director will present the Turin Track. Complete information regarding specific details of the Turin Track (see paragraph 2.14.4.1.2. TURIN TRACK), application and selection methods will be communicated during the information session.

The program structure is valid for the students initially enrolled in the academic years of reference for this section.

Some highly-motivated and deserving MSc students will be allowed to include up to three PhD courses in their study plan. Of these, they can request recognition of 1 course in place of 1 course either in place of an MSc elective course indicated in the AI list, only if the scientific disciplinary sector of the PhD course is equal to the MATH-03A (former MAT/05), or in place of an elective course freely chosen. 2 courses can be recognized as MSc additional course

For detailed information on how to choose such courses, rules, administrative deadlines and recognition procedures see "Higher Level Courses".

It should be noted that, in compliance with the educational objectives of the Master of Science programs and the ministerial table related to the "LM - 18 Informatica" class, the program structure and offer of optional courses for the 2027-2028 a.y. may be subject to limited changes deliberated by the Academic Bodies.

Some opportunities to study abroad such as the Exchange Program lasting one semester are offered (see "International opportunities").

For detailed information on languages see "Languages".
