Master of Science Programs (2-y)

2.12.3. Description of the educational path

The curriculum is structured to allow students to progressively orient themselves towards different professional outcomes.

The first part of the study plan (1st year) includes mandatory courses as well as seminars for the development of their behavioral skills.

The second part of the study plan (1st and 2nd year) includes elective activities that can be selected, partially from lists of specific disciplinary fields (managerial, economics, political, statistical-mathematical and legislative), and partially by free choice as long as they are consistent with the program objectives.

The third part of the study plan (2nd year) includes:

  • a work experience (internship or similar activity);
  • two European Union languages: professional English as the first language for all students; the second language must be different from the mother tongue (Italian is mandatory for all non-native Italian speakers);
  • other elective educational activities aimed at broadening a wide-ranging culture;
  • thesis (written and oral dissertation) that significantly qualifies the educational path.

Study experiences abroad are particularly encouraged throughout the study program. International mobility is indeed a cornerstone that materializes in study and/or work experiences. The period of stay abroad can vary from one semester (exchange and free mover programs) to one year (double degree programs).
