Il corso si propone di analizzare alcuni aspetti giuridici che un marketing manager può trovarsi a dover affrontare nel corso della sua attività lavorativa. Il corso quindi tratta i seguenti temi: a) protezione e circolazione del valore creato dall'azienda tramite il marchio e le sue licenze (quale il merchandising) e il customer database; b) i contratti di distribuzione; c) la comunicazione pubblicitaria; d) il marketing diretto. La prospettiva del corso è comparata quindi i temi verranno affrontati alla luce dell'esperienza europea e statunitense.

Un esame scritto obbligatorio (previsto per la fine del semsestre) che consiste in 3 domande aperte.

Class group/s taught in English
The aim of this course is to analyze some of the legal issues that a marketing manager could face during her job.The course thus focuses on: (a) the protection of some values created within a firm such as trademarks and customer databases; (b) some distribution contracts; (c) advertising; and (d) direct marketing. Moreover, this course intends to offer a comparative look to these issues, considering the US and EU experiences combined.
A comparative look at the EU and US law about
- Trademarks, merchandising and franchising;
- Customer Database;
- False and Comparative Advertising;

Direct marketing.
One compulsory written exam (at the end of the semester) consisting of three open questions.
