Descrizione dettagliata delle modalità d'esame

Esame in forma scritta.

E' possibile sostenere l'esame in due prove scritte parziali, a metà corso e a fine corso. In questo caso, l'esame si considera superato se e solo se la media dei voti conseguiti nelle due prove parziali è sufficiente.

Testi d'esame
  • L. PECCATI, S. SALSA, A. SQUELLATI, Matematica per l'Economia e l'Azienda, Milano, Egea, 2004.
  • Materiali didattici integrativi.

  • Sequences of real numbers: definition and properties. Limits of sequences and their computation.
  • Number series. Series with non-negative terms, series with terms of indefinite sign.
  • Limits and continuity for functions of one or n real variables.
  • One-variable differential calculus. Difference quotient, derivative. Differentiability. Differentiation rules. Fermat's and Lagrange's Theorems. Higher-order derivatives. Taylor formula. Convexity and optimization conditions.
  • Linear algebra. Subspaces. Linear dependence and independence. Basis and dimension of a subspace. Matrices and their operations. • N-variable differential calculus. Partial derivatives and gradient. Differentiability. Unconstrained extrema: optimization conditions. Constrained extrema, lagrangean function.

Detailed Description of Assessment Methods

It is possible to take the exam via two partial written exams (intermediate + final). In this case, the exam is passed if and only if the average of the marks obtained in the two partial exams is sufficient.
