Students will improve their written legal competence enabling them to more confidently face their core subjects taught and tested in English. Students will also widen their legal knowledge of current legal issues while developing their oral skills set.

In addition to face-to-face lectures, teaching methods also include:

STUDENTI FREQUENTANTI E NON FREQUENTANTI / ATTENDING AND NOT ATTENDING STUDENTS
The assessment will consist of a written exam of two parts: Part 1: reading comprehension, Part 2: listening to writing.
Part 1 Reading comprehension
Understanding a passage of a certain legal complexity. There will be a variety of question types (multiple-choice, open questions, true/false etc ) 10 marks
Part 2: Listening to Writing
Objective: Check ability to follow authentic legal conversations/ talks and summarise the content clearly and concisely.
Skills: Identifying key ideas and important /interesting details. Communicating those key ideas and important/interesting details clearly and appropriately (as described in the course materials and lessons). 20 marks
Test: Write a 200-220 word summary of an audio
There is no oral part to this exam.
The grade will be expressed in thirtieths
The test lasts for 90 minutes.
Student can sit the exam as from the end of the second semester .
5 exam sessions are scheduled throughout the year
All exams will be held in presence using your personal PC (with Respondus Lockdown Browser).
Continuous assessment Test: one mark will be awarded for each of the two tests (max two marks). These marks will only be added to the full exam if it has been passed with 18 or over, and if students have attended at least 75% of the curricular course. These extra marks will only be added to an exam taken in either of the first two scheduled sessions after the end of the course. The test can only be sat in presence.
NON FREQUENTANTI
ALL THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SELECTED A CLASS OR ATTENDED LESS THAN A 75% OF THE TOTAL COURSE HOURS ARE CONSIDERED NON ATTENDING STUDENTS
