Biographical note

I am President Emeritus of the Italian Constitutional Court. Since September 2020 I am Full professor of Constitutional Law at Bocconi University.

In 1993 I received a PhD in Law from the European University Institute, Florence. Thesis: Fundamental principles and European integration, supervisor prof. Bruno De Witte.

In 1987 I earned a Law degree from University of Milan, magna cum laude. Thesis: Does a European Constitution exist?, supervisors prof. Valerio Onida, Fausto Pocar.
