Biographical note

Zach Parolin is an Assistant Professor at Bocconi University in the Department of Social and Political Sciences. Parolin is also a Senior Fellow at Columbia University’s Center on Poverty and Social Policy. His research focuses on the measurement and determinants of poverty and social inequality in high-income countries. His work has been published in journals such as American Sociological Review, Nature Human Behavior, Demography, The Annals of the American Academy of Social and Political Sciences, Social Forces, and more. His recent research has been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, La Repubblica, The Atlantic, Vox, and elsewhere.
