STUDYING ABROAD
Internationalization at Università Bocconi has been a strategic priority pursued since 1974, the year in which the first international agreements were put into place. Over the years these programs have developed an extensive network of relations and exchanges with prestigious academic and cultural institutions all over the world, which means there is constant collaboration with the foreign universities (business schools and Departments of Economics) on research and joint teaching projects, thus providing Bocconi students and teaching staff with invaluable international experience.

4.1.1.
Exchange Program
The Università Bocconi Exchange Program (including the Erasmus Programs) deals with student exchanges under bilateral agreements with over 250 universities in 50 countries spreading across 5 continents, giving students the opportunity to attend courses for which they can receive credit as part of their Bocconi degrees. The international universities included in the program are some of the most renowned institutions in the world in the fields of management, economics social sciences with an emphasis on economics and law. In fact, Università Bocconi belongs to two of the most prestigious international networks: CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education and PIM - Partnership in International Management. The agreements are based on reciprocal arrangements that allow students from both institutions involved to complete a period of study abroad without paying extra university fees and tuition to the partner institution. Students are, however, responsible for travel, board and lodging expenses. Eligibility and requirements The semester abroad takes place during the second year of the program. All students regularly enrolled in the first year of MSc programs can apply. Students are allowed to attend courses for a semester at one of the partner universities abroad only after passing the selection which is based on merit and language skills. AEEP Program - Advanced Economics Exchange Program
The AEEP program allows students enrolled in the DES-ESS and CLEFIN/FINANCE programs to attend courses for an academic year abroad at universities which are from among the highest qualified universities in the field of economics by accessing to PhD courses which can subsequently be recognized at Bocconi without paying any tuition and fees to the partner university. However the students are responsible for travel, board and lodging expenses. The program is addressed to DES-ESS and CLEFIN/FINANCE first year students and it is held during the second year of studies. Students are admitted upon passing a selection based on merit and language requirements as well as interviews. Free-Mover Semester Program
Students interested in attending a semester abroad outside the Exchange Program, can enrol at a number of universities abroad where they can study for a semester in their second year of the program as part of the Free-Mover Semester Program (fee-paying Visiting Students or Independent Students). The Free-Mover Semester experience is incompatible with both the participation in the Exchange program and the participation in long study programs abroad. Students are responsible for tuition and fees for both Università Bocconi and the foreign university as well as travel, board and lodging expenses for the period abroad. 4.1.4.
Double Degree Program
The Double Degree Program gives MSc students the opportunity to study abroad for one academic year and obtain both the Italian Master of Science degree from Università Bocconi and a foreign Graduate degree from the partner University, at the end of their studies. Application procedure The Program is addressed to students enrolled inthe MSc Program with a undergraduate graduation grade equal or more than 100/110 (or equivalent grades for students who were awarded a bachelor degree abroad) and who meet specific language requirements that can be different accordingly to the destination. The Program is generally held in the second year of studies. Double Degree China-MIM
Double degree China is a master realized by Bocconi in cooperation with Fudan university (Shanghai). The objective of this Double Degree is to create managers who have an in-depth knowledge of the main economic dynamics of China and Italy and the aspects of the two cultures determining the business methods in Asia and in Europe. Application procedure The admission in the China MIM Programme is made upon admission in the Master of Science in International Management. The access criteria for the China MIM can be checked in the website area addressed to the Master of Science in International Management. For students admitted in International Management Program and suitable to the China-MIM one, admission include an informative interview with the program coordinators. China-MIM Program Structure The Program includes lessons at the School of Management di Fudan University in the first year of studies and the second year at Bocconi. Bocconi students participating in the China-MIM program must make reference to the program structure of the Master of Science in International Management. 4.1.6.
CEMS-MIM Master in International Management
The CEMS-MIM master is the result of an alliance involving Bocconi in cooperation with 28 other European universities worldwide. The program is supported by more than 60 of the world leading companies. The objective of the master is to create European multilingual managers who have the ability to understand and adapt to diverse cultures and the know-how to operate in European and global business environments. During the second year of the MSc, the program features an exchange semester, an internship abroad at one of the partner universities, as well as an internship and supplementary educational activities (skill seminars, block seminars business projects). Application procedure The admission in the CEMS program is upon admission in the International Management Program. Admissions criteria can be verified at www.ir.unibocconi.eu/cems. For the CEMS participation it is necessary to have acquired one of the language certifications valid from among those specified on the website (www.ir.unibocconi.eu/cems). For students admitted in the International Management program and eligible for the CEMS program, an interview with the Academic Director and/or the representatives of the Markets and External Affairs Division constitutes the most important step of the selection process. This interview will be held after the applicants’ initial enrollment at Bocconi, will be decisive in the admission-non admission to the CEMS Program. CEMS-MIM program structure Bocconi students participating in the CEMS program will have compulsorily to include all courses attended at Bocconi in the Bocconi study plan with the purposes of the CEMS requirements, covering the compulsory courses abd/or elective courses provided in the program structure or as additional courses (for a maximum number of 3 additional courses). Short programs

4.2.1.
Campus Abroad
The Campus Abroad Programs are generally held during the period in which lessons are suspended, and last about three weeks. The program includes a summer session and a winter one. The programs aim to expose students to an international context by combining a Bocconi course with a series of "country specific" activities (seminars and visits to local companies and institutions). Eligibility and requirements For detailed information on students who can be eligible to apply to the two editions see www.ir.unibocconi.eu/campusabroad Students are admitted to the program after a selection which is based on academic merit and language skills. Exam recognition The exam passed abroad as part of the Campus Abroad Program is a Bocconi exam, therefore all the University rules for the structure of the study plan apply and no "credit approval" procedure is necessary. To have exams and credit points registered in their academic careers, students must pass the final exam and participate in both lessons and related activities. Participation in all Campus activities and presence for the entire period of the program is compulsory. Certifications and documents
To request certifications specifying the admission and/or participation in a program of international mobility (Exchange program, Campus Abroad, Double Degree, China-MIM, CEMS-MIM) the cert@B procedure available on the yoU@B Diary must be used (see chapter 11 Certifications, self-declarations and Diploma Supplement), except for the documents described in the following paragraphs. 4.4.1.
Documents for the participation in the exchange program, Double Degree, CEMS
The Study Abroad Office (Exchange program) or the Global Alliances Office (Double Degree and CEMS programs) must be contacted by the selected student if, as part of the application procedure or the participation, the partner foreign university requests a document for the admission to the program and/or information relating to the enrolment at Bocconi along with the student's academic career. The same procedure is applicable in case the document of admission to the program is required to obtain the visa. Any procedure changes will be communicated to the interested students.
