6033 - INFORMATICA PER L'ECONOMIA / COMPUTER SKILLS FOR ECONOMICS

L’obiettivo del corso è duplice:

• insegnare un approccio metodico ai problemi attraverso le tecniche del Problem Solving
• insegnare l’uso di Excel a livello avanzato mediante esempi ed esercizi calati nella realtà di studio e di lavoro degli studenti Bocconi.
  

Nelle prime lezioni sono presentati i concetti fondamentali del Problem Solving. Nelle successive sono presentati casi aziendali ed economici, risolti mediante l’uso di Excel a livello avanzato. Vengono trattate la corretta impostazione di un foglio di calcolo, e le funzioni avanzate necessarie alla risoluzione dei problemi presentati in ordine di difficoltà crescente.
Le lezioni cattedratiche sono affiancate da laboratori in cui gli studenti possono svolgere esercizi mirati all’apprendimento degli argomenti del corso.

L’esame si volge secondo due modalità distinte: prove intermedie ed esame finale.
Le prove intermedie sono pensate per chi partecipa assiduamente alle lezioni, essendo riferite specificamente agli argomenti trattati in aula.
La prova finale è destinata a coloro che non hanno sostenuto o non hanno superato le prove intermedie ed è riferita alla bibliografia completa.
Per entrambe le modalità, l’esame è in forma scritta.

Per poter essere ammessi all’esame è necessario aver conseguito una tra le certificazioni riconosciute dall’Università (ECDL base completa, ECDL advanced completa, IC3 2005 plus, MOS master). Tale certificazione dovrà essere consegnata al SEDIN entro i termini indicati sul sito web http://ww.unibocconi.it/sedin
Gli studenti che non posseggono ancora la certificazione necessaria possono conseguirla presso l’Università Bocconi usufruendo del test center ECDL.

To study technology starting from the solution of specific problems.
The objective of the course is to provide students with advanced operating competencies in the use of Information Technology (IT), in such a way as to use available technologies fully in order to find solutions to the problems that can be faced during one's studies in the university and in future jobs.
The didactic method is innovative and oriented to problem solving: starting from a set of problems with increasing difficulty, we will seek to resolve them using the potentialities of appropriate information technology tools.

The first part of the course is dedicated to analyzing the fundamental concepts of  problem solving and problem setting.
In the second part of the course some problems and scenarios are given, all of which are analyzed in detail. A graphical representation is provided and the possible solutions introduced. Once the problems have been defined, the next step is choosing the proper IT tool to resolve them, e.g.: the advanced management of datas, formulas and functions, pivot tables, dynamic crosstabs, scenarios.. Finally the macros and basic instructions of VBA are analyzed.

There are two procedures for exams, according to whether students attend the course, or not. Please remember that in order to be admitted to exams, students must have complete ECDL certification or a similar certificate.

Attending students

Students can take either partial exams or the final general exam. Assignments completed during the course will also form part of student assessment.

Non-attending students

Final general exam. No assignments or partial exams are scheduled.
