  • ECDL Core completa (sette moduli)
  • ECDL Core Full Standard (sette moduli)
  • ECDL Advanced (tutte e quattro le certificazioni)
  • IC3 2005 plus
  • MOS Master
  • MCAS Master

Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to create awareness of the prevailing ICT technologies in university and company environment and the opportunities these technologies offer. Also, to improve the practical use of the most popular among personal and collaboration productivity tools.

Course Content Summary
The course is divided in four areas of expertise integrated together to reach the intended objectives:
  • LEARN AND UNDERSTAND: learn about the technologies and tools available, understand their potential taking into account the constraints and ethical use of ICT, stay current on the state of the art
  • FIND AND COLLECT: find useful information on the Web (for both study and work), assess quality and opportunities to use it, collect and store data according to their goals
  • PROCESS AND ANALYZE: effectively use the right tools to process information in a consistent format, according to the intended use (with particular focus on the spreadsheets)
  • SHARE AND COMMUNICATE: choose and effectively use the right tools to share and communicate the results of their work (presentation, communication, collaboration tools)

Detailed Description of Assessment Methods
The exam can be taken in two ways: with two partial exams or as a single general exam.
  • Partial exams are designed for those actively involved in the lessons and specifically refer to the bibliography for attending students. They can be taken by students of the first year only. They cannot be taken or repeated in subsequent years.
  • General exam is intended for those who did not take or did not pass the partial exams and require the preparation on the complete bibliography.
For both partial and general exam sessions, the exam consists of multiple choice questions and practical exercises with the PC.

Textbooks
  • Clerici A. (editor), Computer skills for economics handbook, EGEA, 2014

For the partial exams: only the chapters marked in the classroom program
For the general exams: all the textbook

Prerequisites
In order to enroll in the exam for this course (second partial or general), one of the following certifications must be achieved:
  • ECDL Core Full (seven modules)
  • ECDL Core Full Standard (seven modules)
  • ECDL Advanced (all of the four certifications)
  • IC3 2005 Plus
  • MOS Master
  • MCAS Master
Università Bocconi is a Test Center for ECDL Core and Advanced certifications. Information on how to get these certifications can be found at www.unibocconi.eu/sedin in the ECDL Core and ECDL Advanced pages.
The certification must be achieved within the dates communicated during the course and available on the SEDIN website, in the Prerequisite page.

  • If it is ECDL Core achieved in Italy, the registration of the prerequisite is made automatically by SEDIN
  • If the ECDL Core was achieved abroad (in whole or in part), you must show up in person to the SEDIN office presenting the Skills Card and the certificate
  • If it is ECDL Advanced, IC3 2005 plus, MOS Master or MCAS Master you must show up in person to the SEDIN office presenting the certificates and score reports attesting the passing of examinations.
It is highly recommended to achieve the certification before the course of Computer skills for economics starts, because the concepts contained in the basic certifications are taken for granted in the course.
