A2 (elementary) (or higher) entry level is advised for active participation in learning activities. Therefore it is highly recommended to attend the first part of the course offered in the second semester of the first year. Per una proficua partecipazione alle attività didattiche è consigliato un livello di ingresso pari almeno ad A2 (elementare). A tale scopo si consiglia vivamente la frequenza alla prima parte del corso nel 2° semestre del 1° anno.
The course aims at providing level B1 (intermediate) business (see CEFR framework) knowledge and skills required to pass the Bocconi internal exam (and beneficial for international French language certification). Fornire le conoscenze e competenze previste per il livello B1 (intermedio) business del quadro di riferimento europeo (CEFR) necessarie ai fini del superamento dell’esame interno Bocconi ed utili nel caso di sostenimento di certificazione internazionale.
The duration of the course is one year: the first part is in the 2nd semester - 1st year (48 hours + 1st partial exam); the second part (code 20374) is in the 1st semester - 2nd year (24 hours + 2nd partial exam/general exam)
Students are expected to gain B1 level grammatical, syntactic and lexical skills, both written and oral, as well as the main pragmatic and communicative competence contained in the textbook, units 7, 8, 9: Internet y Presentación profesional, Correspondencia comercial y Negociación profesional, Estrategias de publicidad y Campaña publicitaria, El informe. L’insegnamento è strutturato in due parti: la prima parte è nel 2° semestre del 1° anno (48 ore di didattica + prima prova parziale); la seconda parte (codice 20374) è nel 1° semestre del 2° anno (24 ore di didattica + seconda prova parziale / prova generale).
Il programma della seconda parte (codice 20374) prevede l’acquisizione delle competenze grammaticali, sintattiche e lessicali di livello B1, sia scritte che orali, così come delle principali competenze pragmatiche e comunicative contenute nelle unità 7, 8 e 9, del testo in adozione: Internet y Presentación profesional, Correspondencia comercial y Negociación profesional, Estrategias de publicidad y Campaña publicitaria, El informe. B1 - Level business intermediate
Knowledge
Students will acquire a basic/medium level of knowledge of the language which will allow some degree of independence in the business environment.

Lo studente avrà acquisito una conoscenza di livello base/medio del linguaggio da utilizzare nell’ambiente di lavoro.
Skills
Students will be able to interact in written and oral form in a low-complexity working environment (writing e-mails, drafting simple and schematic texts, comment on statistical data and graphs, be engaged in a working conversation with persons who are clear and concise).
Capacità di applicare conoscenze
Lo studente saprà interagire in forma scritta ed orale in un contesto lavorativo caratterizzato da un basso grado di complessità (scrivere mail di lavoro, scrivere testi semplici e schematici, commentare grafici e dati statistici, gestire una breve conversazione su argomenti di lavoro con interlocutori che si esprimono in modo chiaro e lineare).

The assessment method (in case of Bocconi internal assessment) consists of an exam focused on reading, writing, listening and speaking competencies as with international certifications.
The mark is expressed out of 30.
Students can sit the exam offered in “partial” mode (only in the first two exam sessions after the end of lessons) and/or in “general” mode.
The 1st partial exam is at the end of 1st year – 2nd semester; it is a written test; and, it is required to register via Punto Blu.
The 2nd partial exam is at the end of 2nd year – 1st semester. Two dates are scheduled for the 2nd partial (the first on the same date as the first general exam and the second on the same date of the second general exam) but the student can sit just one of them. In order to be allowed to sit the 1st partial exam, a 75% attendance of the 1st part of the course (1st year – 2nd semester) is required.
Only those who sat the 1st partial exam (minimum result: 15 out of 30) are allowed to sit the 2nd partial exam, regardless of whether or not they attended the 2nd part of the course in the 2nd year.
The written test of the 2nd partial exam is the same for attending and non-attending students (2nd part of the course).
The 2nd partial exam/general exam consists of two linked parts: written (writing, reading, listening) and oral (speaking).
Please note that:
- to sit for the 2nd partial exam/general exam, it is required to register via Punto Blu (one single registration, valid for both written and oral part)
- written and oral part have to be taken in the same exam session as the oral part is the final step of a single exam
- final grade: result of the written part + result of the oral part

La valutazione dell’apprendimento (effettuata attraverso l’esame Bocconi) è finalizzata a valutare quattro capacità: espressione/comprensione, rispettivamente scritta e orale, in analogia al modello delle certificazioni internazionali.
La valutazione prevede voto in trentesimi.
L’esame può essere superato attraverso le prove parziali (nei primi due appelli successivi al termine della didattica) e/o la prova generale.
