Andrea Sironi is Professor of Banking and Finance at Bocconi University in Milan. On October 2012 he has been  Rector of the University. He has previously been Dean of the Graduate School, Dean for International Affairs, Director of the Research Division of the School of Management (SDA), Director of the MSc in Finance, and Director of the Master in Risk Management. Since December 2014 he is Chairman of CEMS, the Global Alliance in Management Education.
He has held visiting positions at the Research and Statistics Department of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, and at the Salomon Brothers Center, Stern School of Business (NYU), New York. At the beginning of his career, he has been a financial analyst at The Chase Manhattan Bank in London.
Professor Sironi research interests include Financial Risk Management and International Banking Supervision. He has published and edited many books and papers in international refereed journals on these subjects.
Professor Sironi is married and has three children.
