GIORGIO SACERDOTI

Born March 2nd, 1943. Degree in Law  cum laude from the University of  Milan (1965). Master of Comparative Law, Columbia Law School, New York (1967). Admitted to the Bar (Milan, 1969, and Supreme Court of Italy, 1978).Tenured professor of International Law and European Law (Jean Monnet Chair) at Bocconi University (since 1994). Member of the Appellate Body of the WTO (2001- ).

Formerly professor of international law at the Universities of Milan (1990-94), Bergamo (1977-1990), Urbino (1976-77) and Bari (1971-76). International fellow, Aspen Institute (1985). Visiting professor at the Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales, University of Paris (1987) and inuniversities in various countries. Course holder at the Academy of International Law of The Hague (1994). Coordinator for the Bocconi PhD program in International Law and Economics (until 2006). Vice-president of the OECD Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions (1989-2001). ICSID (World Bank) Roster of arbitrators. Member of the Appellate Body of the WTO (2001- )
